I really enjoyed the Prensky articles. It makes a lot of sense if you think about it. Different experiences make different brains. Our students have grown up with technology(internet, video games, cell phones, texting, etc.). It is who they are. They learn this way as well. The current education system uses antiquated teaching styles for these digital learners. The way they learn needs to be incorporated into teaching methods so they can maximize their learning. Students need to have more influence and guide new methodologies. The future is "digital and technological".
The websites I visited and the articles I read emphasize the careful need to improve performance by the creation, use, and management of technology, and how better instructional technologies need to be integrated into teacher programs. This is how to better reach our students, while at the same time educating ourselves.
